Testing softwares?

We can download many freewares. However most of them have adwares or spywares or viruses. How to find whether an exe file has any spywares or adwares before installing them. OR how to scan with AVG antivirus (free home edition) before installing the software.

Just use antivirus and antispyware.

Provided you have AVG running, unzip the downloaded file if it's zipped, right click on the file or new folder and choose Scan with AVG from the many options available. If a virus or trojan is detected, delete the folder and the downloaded file immediately. You MUST do this every time you download something from P2P.

AVG will NOT pick up spy or malware. When you install the program, run Spybot before you run the program. Afterwards will be too late.
Get your software from a good site to be sure it's clean.
