How many antispyware programs can I run on a single computer?

I downloaded the latest AVG Antivirus, version 8.0 which is both antivirus and antispyware. Before I was using AVG 7.5 free for antivirus and Windows Defender for antispyware. I like Windows Defender and want to keep using it, but can Windows Defender and AVG 8.0 run with out messing up one another.

You can use up to 2 Spyware programs at one time but only 1 antivirus.

OK you deffinately dont want to user more than one, you can use on AV and one Anti spy but if you use the same type on two different ones they will cancel out, if your gonna do that than u might as well not run anything, most applications and programs will detect if you have more than one and will ask you to remove it before they install or they will just automatically do it, Ex. Norton 360. using more than one is not a good idea, this will cause you to have more problems than you would like to have, i suggest just using an actual softare title not something free, they dont update as quick and have not support for the software, i like Trend Micro or Kapersky, they are the two best with any windows platform, and dont lag your computer as much as notron or mcafee will, good luck
You can use avg (which is what I use) with SpyBot because they basically look for different things.
