Sound problem my pc?

when i play music it says cannot play back audio stream:no audio hardware is availble, or the audio hardware is not responding

when i go to drive c: properties then hardware

i don't see the list of hardware just blank but aside from the slowing down of my computer and no sounds its running fine

i have avg antivirus free and avg antispyware free

it told me to remove norton in the installation so i removed it

pls. need help

If the sound problems occur intermittently, there could be a interrupt conflict problem. Uninstall the audio and sound drivers and restart the computer. The computer will automatically reinstall the required drivers and the problem will be resolved. FOR COMPLETE SYSTEM RESTORE , TRY PRESSING CONTROL AND F-11 OR PRESS CONTROL AND F-12 ..GOOD LUCK , IT SOUNDS LIKE SOME SOFTWARE COULD HAVE TOOK YOUR SOUND , SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME , ONE DAY!
you may need to reseat your sound card. or make sure that you have a sound card. because windows will know weather there is a card in there unless the os has become faulty.
