My pc is slow!!!!! help!!!?

well some people keep saying get more ram cuase i only have 224mb of ram and say to get 1 gig of ram but i dont want to get ram right now and i only have these things installed for secuirty avg antivirus free, adaware, windows deffander, and windows firewall. if you also know any other better security's that are free and also use less ram please tell me and also the person who can tell me right things that can tune up my pc will be rewarded if other people who say ''buy more ram'' or ''get an mac'' deserve nothing.

None of the security programs you are using have a particularly large memory footprint. I suspect your resources are being consumed by other programs on the machine.

The easiest way to increase performance without adding additional RAM, is to disable unnecessary services and startup entries. You can manually do this using msconfig, but a better way to do it using Autoruns from Sysinternals (free);

Download, and run this tool. The switch over to the Logon Tab;

It is safe to disable anything non-microsoft, leave your AVG.

This will not remove the entries listed here, it will only prevent them from automatically launching when Windows boots, freeing RAM.

All those programs will still start when launched, although it may take an additional couple of seconds, as they are not already loaded into memory.
